James J. Boyle & Co. is an international
logistics company with over 40 years of experience and with over
15 offices in the United States, China, Hong Kong, Philippines and
Thailand. We offer full logistics services such as air and ocean
transportation, Customs brokerage, domestic transportation, and
cargo screening service.
[Operation]
- Direct operations of the freight transportation
of the company.
- Evaluate and review the company's logistics
operations, business practices, update and develop process documentation.
- Create, direct, and modify operations procedures
for the betterment of company's logistics operation
- Drive and facilitate activities that improve
organization and communication within logistics department throughout
the corporation.
- Collaborate with I.T. on selecting key computer
systems for company's logistics needs.
- Communicate regularly with our overseas branch
offices (Thailand, Philippines and China) and agent partners.
[Compliance]
- Stay up-to-date with U.S. government (TSA
& CCSP, PHMSA, DOT, OSHA) rules and regulation. Coordinate
with our Director of Export Compliance to create, modify and
direct new procedures in accordance to new rules and regulation.
- Perform internal audits to ensure all logistics
procedures are compliant with U.S. government rules and regulation.
- Oversee and guarantee all logistics-related
operations comply with applicable environmental, health safety,
and other regulatory rules and regulations
- Ensure that effective logistics-related safety,
security, and regulatory employee training programs are maintained.
[Manage]
- Monitor logistics managers, systems, and
process that are responsible for delivering a reliable, compliant,
and cost effective service to the business.
- Perform regular communication and annual
review for logistics managers
- Communicate company objectives and goals
to logistics managers.
- Assist logistics managers to resolve any
problems.
[Sales]
- Promote sales to expand customer base.
- Work with the sales staff and managers to
develop new business.
- Regularly visit principal clients to maintain
a strong relationship.
- At least 10 years of experience in international
logistics.
- Must have a broad range of management and
communicative skills.
- Must be able to delegate authority to managers
while creating a team-based environment.
- Must have excellent analytical skills.
- Comfortable working with individuals with
different languages and cultures.
- Effective decision making, sound judgment,
and initiative.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Brokerage experiences a definite plus.
