Extension of the
Generalized System of Preference ("GSP")
Further to our company·s Newsletter issued on December
4, 2006 containing information on the expiration of the Generalized
System of Preference (·GSP), please be advised that earlier
today President Bush signed H.R. 6111 granting its extension.
The GSP has now been extended to December 31, 2008.

the HTSUSA
·
Reliquidation
of certain products
·
Technical corrections to the
Tariff Act of 1930
·
Extension of nondiscriminatory
treatment (Normal Trade Relations (“NTR”) treatment)
to the products of Vietnam
·
Extension of the Andean Trade
Preference Act/Andean Trade Promotion and Drug Eradication Act
to June 30, 2007
·
Technical corrections to the
African Growth and Opportunity Act
·
Extension and addition of certain
products qualifying for duty free treatment under Chapter 99 HTSUSA
provisions.

qualifying county can be excluded from the GSP program if it is
determined that the country has become sufficiently developed
or competitive, either as a whole or with respect to one or more
